After Campfire Podcast
After Campfire is a podcast for everyone with a connection to the Southampton Fresh Air Home (SFAH), a center for people with physical disabilities. When you are a person with a physical disability, there are a lot of misconceptions about who you are which can be tough sometimes. For all of us growing up, SFAH was the one place where nothing mattered. It doesn’t matter what your disability is, how you communicate with the world, or whether you need lots of help, or no help at all, the only thing that mattered was that you got to be real and talk honestly about who we truly are. This podcast provides honest conversations about who we are, what makes us tick, and give our perspectives on the world.

Episode 2
On episode 2, we have an honest conversation with 2 'Red Liberty' campers who’ve recently begun their first year at college as well as meet a new SFAH staff member. We’ll get into the excitement of “adulting” and also the unexpected challenges they faced after finishing high school. We’ll also be picking the brains of our able-bodied newcomer about the perceptions of living with a disability. Lastly, we get really deep and philosophical about what the future of disability advocacy can look like. I hope you enjoy our discussions!
