After Campfire is a podcast for everyone with a connection to the Southampton Fresh Air Home (SFAH), a center for people with physical disabilities. When you are a person with a physical disability, there are a lot of misconceptions about who you are which can be tough sometimes. For all of us growing up, SFAH was the one place where nothing mattered. It doesn’t matter what your disability is, how you communicate with the world, or whether you need lots of help, or no help at all, the only thing that mattered was that you got to be real and talk honestly about who we truly are. This podcast provides honest conversations about who we are, what makes us tick, and give our perspectives on the world.

The Southampton Fresh Air Home (SFAH) just finished their 122nd summer camp program. This episode contains campers from our program sharing their favorite memories of their time at SFAH in 2023. Although our campers have physical disabilities, their summer camp experiences and stories are unlimited, just like anyone else who has ever attended a summer camp. Whether you've attended SFAH in the past, or just remember your own childhood experience, we hope that this episode helps you reminisce on any of your camp memories alongside our campers.
